Beta terms
Thank you for testing Autosort. This is a pre-release (beta) version. By installing it you agree to the following.
1. It is a test version
Autosort is still being developed and may contain mistakes. It is provided “as is”, without any warranty, for testing only. Please don’t share the installer with anyone else.
2. Your files
Autosort only copies files from camera cards. It never deletes, moves or changes anything on a card. Even so, keep your cards (or another backup) until you have checked that every file arrived in the right folder. The last setup step lets you go live straight away or stay in Dry run, which only shows what Autosort would do.
3. What Autosort sends us
To fix problems quickly, Autosort sends a short report when an upload fails or the program crashes, and whenever you send a bug report or idea from the Feedback page. Reports include the app version, Windows version, file counts and error messages. Client names, property addresses, folder paths, e-mail addresses, calendar links and keys are removed before anything is sent. You can turn automatic reports off at any time under Feedback. See the privacy policy.
4. What stays on your computer
Your settings, calendar links and history stay on your computer. Calendar links are stored encrypted for your Windows account only. Addresses from your calendar may be looked up on OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) to find their coordinates.
5. Updates
Autosort installs signed updates automatically while it isn’t copying anything. You can turn this off from the icon by the clock › Updates.
6. Your feedback
Ideas and suggestions you send may be used to improve Autosort, without any obligation to you.
7. Ending the beta
The beta may end or change at any time. You can uninstall Autosort from Windows Settings › Apps whenever you like; your camera cards and sorted folders are never touched by uninstalling.
